Computer Performance Checkup

By far and away the easiest and most important performance checkup tool is Task Manager. Task Manager lets users organize and monitor every process running on your system by many different criteria, which include: CPU, RAM and disk usage. If you load up Task Manager, be sure to head in to the Processes tab at the top of the program to see what I’m talking about. If you find any processes that are taking up too many resources, simply right click on them and kill them.

Use Performance Utility

Unbeknownst to many users, Microsoft included another utility called Performance. To load it, go to control panel/administrative tools and then click on the label called Performance. This tool allows users to see performance graphs for many system qualities and you can choose to generate reports for later analysis.

How Important Is Checking Up On Computer Performance?

If you are like 99% of other uses and hate wasting time suffering with or trying to fix a sluggish computer, then performing regular performance checks on your computer is vital. Another side benefit is that if you do this regularly, you will also notice when something unusual such as a virus as invaded your PC.
